Klipsch Heritage

Forte IV
 in-stock

The Klipsch Forte IV is the smallest full-height speaker in the Klipsch Heritage lineup. It is narrower, lighter, and has a lower bass output than a Klipsch Cornwall, but, unlike the Heresy IV, it has the height to put the tweeter right at ears height. The Forte IV is a floorstanding tower-style speaker.

Even though the Forte IV is one of the smaller speakers within the Heritage line, in comparison to the La Scala, it will produces less bass and drive, and yet it is still a powerful speaker with prodigious bass output and the drive Klipsch's are known for. If you want the Klipsch sound in a height, width, and depth, the Forte IV's profile is more similar to most loudspeakers. The Forte IV is optimal for apartment dwellers, or those who just don't want a speaker with the home shaking power of a Cornwall.

Why would you buy the Forte IV? If you want big bass and drive, but also a compact loudspeaker reasonably priced with a Whompin-bass ratio, then this is your speaker. The Forte IV is still a much more powerful bass and dynamics loudspeaker, than most at its size and price.

Like the the Cornwall, the Forte IV can switch hit and play in both large and smaller rooms. If one has a bedroom sized listening room, or simply does not want to cede the living room real-estate which a Cornwall demands, then the Forte IV is a good choice. Being a smaller speaker, the Forte IV is also very light on its feet with quick tight bass, and the boogie factor that smaller speakers tend to have. The Forte IV is an excellent match for the McIntosh MA-252 tube / solid state hybrid, giving a wonderful lower price point and footprint classic McIntosh/Klipsch system  - but don't forget the turntable!
