"The Aria is a terrific phono stage, capable of class-leading results as long of the rest of the system is up to scratch"Hifi News Rega Aria Review
"Rega’s versatile $1500 Aria phono stage combines high build quality, flexibility and dynamic capabilities more commonly found in more expensive phono preamplifiers." - Michael Fremer Rega Aria Review
Rega website Aria
Housed within the latest half width custom designed case to give it a fresh new look and match the range are two entirely separate, high performance phono stages. One fully adjustable, dedicated moving coil and one moving magnet. Each stage is designed and engineered to maximize the potential of your vinyl system whilst remaining easy to use and set up. The half-width design is really nice if you have an external power supply Rega turntable (Rega Planar 6 - Planar 10 or Planar 3 with TT-PSU)as you can put your phono stage and power supply side by side on a single rack shelf, and they match visually. The Planar 10's power supply is the same chassis.
The Rega Ania is an excellent companion to the Rega Elys 2, Exact 2, Ania Pro, Apheta 3, and Aphelion 2 cartridges. It is a bit overkill for the Elys, but a nice phono stage to get if you plan on upgrading to higher end cartridges later. Extremely flexible configuration and a Pearl Audio favorite. The Ania will also let you connect two turntables simultaneously - one an MM cartridged table, and the other an MC cartridged table. This is great in practice if you have an everyday turntable with an inexpensive MM cartridge, but also a high end table with an expensive MC cartridge.
The Aria is Pearl Audio's go-to phono stage at it's price point, especially with Rega cartridges.
