Aurender A10 is an awful lot like an Aurender 100 series music server.
The difference is
the N100 series is designed to feed a DAC.
The A10 is like an N100 that has a DAC built into it. A volume controlled Dac.
A wonderful functional benefit to this is that the A10 version of the Aurender Conductor iPad app HAS A VOLUME CONTROL! This means you can sell off your hideous old preamplifier, that ghastly CD player and the horrible dusty interconnect between them. You can replace all that with a neat, sleek modern Aurender A10 and control your music selection and your music volume all from the iPad app!
An Aurender A10 and a nice stereo amplifier = Great System.
Aurender A10 supports DSD (DSF, DFF), WAV, FLAC, ALAC, APE, AIFF, M4A and other major formats at native bit and sampling rates. It also support TIDAL and MQA! You can create playlists containing both Tidal music and music from your own library.
The Aurdender A10 is equipped with a high performance USB digital audio output, Ethernet port, 120GB solid-state drive for cached playback, and 4TB music library storage. The A10 is also an ideal solution for playing high resolution digital music collections from NAS. When you play back a file on the Aurender A10, it loads the file from the large 4GB mechanical drive onto the superfast 120GB SSD and then plays back the music from the 120GB for fast, time accurate delivery to your DAC, resulting in better sound.
There is only one model of A10. It has 120GB SSD and a 4TB mechanical HD. $5500
Pearl Audio is happy to take your old preamplifier and cd player in on trade.
