This is a classic Linn system and has the sound to prove it. Warm, inviting and all with that unmistakable Linn Sound. The LP12 is arguably the most famous high-end turntable in history, it even has its own LP12 Wikipedia page. The Majik LP12 combined with the Linn Adikt MM cartridge is a match made in heaven for the MM phono stage built into the Linn Majik DSM.
The Linn Majik DSM/4 is not just an integrated amplifier, it's a HIFI Swiss army knife: it has four HDMI video inputs and one ARC HDMI output, multiple digital inputs, a phono stage, and built-in Linn DS streaming. Linn DS supports 24/192 internet music streaming with native support for both Tidal and Qobuz streaming services. Linn DS streaming is usually the main reason most people buy the Majik DSM, but it also works well as an analog system.
New for 2021 on the Majik LP12 is the new Karousel Bearing and Krane tonearm which brings up the performance several notches while keeping that gorgeous full and smooth LP12 sound. It's one of the best values in all of hi-fi just as a standalone turntable, let alone one that's beautiful and can be upgraded for a lifetime. For sheer performance alone, one could ask if there is a better turntable on the marketplace.
